I don't believe that is correct in general, but in the particular text referenced by hazzey, it states that "the fine aggregate shall be produced by crushing stone, gravel or slag that meet the requirements for wear and soundness specified for coarse aggregate."
26/04/2011 · When compacting soil, you do it in 6" lifts. What about compacting washed gravel or crushed rock? I was told that # 57 gravel is self compacting. I find this hard to believe. 12/07/2008 · 0 – 3/4″ is crushed stone which size is from fine powder up to 3/4″. 3/4 clean is crushed stone that is 3/4″ only clean. Now, does both 03/4 and 3/4 clean as the same "drainage" qualities? If I use clean gravel will it "drain more" and prevent freezethaw problems than if I used only 03/4″ crushed stone ?
